monthly brochures that highlight a piece of art from the walker's permanent collection. made especially for children. this batch of work is rather old (7–10 years, yikes!), but I still enjoy them.
my friends, constance and robert, from RI purchased an old farm in estonia a couple years back—outhouse included. they kept up the previous tennant's eclectic remnants.
i'd like to share some of my favorite things with you. look for more fun bits from my drawers and bookshelves. i found this amazing handmade postcard at an estate sale. it reads:
"Hello to you" This is not a picture of devil as some may think. You see shadow put horn on head and hair on neck. Made fool clown out of me. Hair on neck don't bother me a bit.
"Fool clown pciture I think" Don't you? from you know who... Theodore. "Clubs made by Harry H. Lind."
Note: the loved little animals came from our family friend Jean—it used to be her little pet when she lived in england.
[When first my brave Johnie lad came to the town, He had an orchid bonnet that wanted the crown; But now he has gotten a hat and a feather, Hey, brave Johnie lad, cock up your beaver!]
Cock up your beaver, and cock it fu' sprush, We'll over the border, and gie them a brush; There's somebody there we'll teach better behaviour, Hey, brave Johnie lad, cock up your beaver!
